This is without question the most profession and informative person who has come into our home. We have always lived Bay Furnace but this helped my daughter and I in ensuring our safety, adjusting the humidity and educating me. Thank you, Karen. I will now sign up for the monthly service to ensure we are called timely for our service.

No heat. Upon arrival I found the homeowner had removed the blower and could not reinstall. I reinstalled and cycled the furnace. Due to age, condition and efficiency the furnace should be replaced ASAP.
Water leak. Upon arrival I found that there was no water present. I cycled the furnace and humidifier for approximately 20 minutes and no water leaks appeared. I theorize that the humidifier may be the cause since it is a powered humidifier on the return. When the humidifier starts and it is dry the water may be pulled into the return causing a small puddle at the base of the furnace . Currently there is no evidence of this happening.
Checked hot water tank for proper operation. Cycled gas valve. System operating properly at this point. Showed customer how tank operates. upon further investigation I found an old humidistat April Aire not being used on the wall of the upstairs unit where the customer would like the nest to be mounted we could use the old wire to fish the new five wire to the system illuminate the old thermostat wire and a Bandan it in the wall. This would approximately take 15 feet of number five wire 10 to 12 zip ties and one man one hour
Found inducer motor squealing. Recommend furnace and humidifier tune up. Replaced Aprilaire 35 water panel. I cleaned and disinfected the humidifier. Removed inducer motor and lubricated it to lessen squealing. Cleaned flame sensor. Checked ignitor. Checked filter. Vacuumed and cleaned furnace cabinet. Cycled system operating properly at this time.
